ROBERT GARDNER Peacefully at East Gate Personal Care Home in Beausejour, Robert Gardner, aged 87 years, went to be with his Lord. Robert was born in Winnipeg and lived most of his life in the Weston area where he attended Cecil Rhodes School. He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway for 34 years in various capacities. Robert enjoyed music and used his musical talent as an organist and choir leader for 38 years at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Weston. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Margaret of 61 years; daughter Valerie; granddaughters, Cheryl, Roberta (Marc) and Donna (Andre) great-grandchildren, Melissa and Manny; sister-in-law Hilda Junod of Langley, B.C., and two nieces, two nephews and their families. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 22, at St. Thomas Anglican Church, corner of William Avenue and Worth Street, with Reverend Kenn Garrity officiating. Special thanks is given to the staff of East Gate Lodge for the compassionate care given to Robert and his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
