BERTHA AVANTHAY (nee CLEMENT) 1916 - 2000 Peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2000 with her family at her side, Bertha passed away at the Victoria General Hospital. Bertha was predeceased by her husband Maurice in November 1985 and brother Dave Clement. Left to cherish her memory is her sister Rose Desjardin; four children, Lorraine, Ray (Devona), Albert (fiancee Birdie) and Louis (Sheila) grandchildren, Cheryl, Derek, Darin, Ryan, Shannon, Annette and Robby and her eight great-grandchildren, many loving and kind nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 22 at 1:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road with Pastor Erhard Buss officiating and Eulogy by Pastor Ken Reynolds. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Berthas memory to The Childrens Wish Foundation of Canada, MB Chapter, 350 St. Mary Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 3J2.
