BENNE WIGHTMAN HARPER It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden death of Benne Wightman Harper at the St. Boniface General Hospital on Wednesday, December 20, 2000. He is survived by his wife Janice; son John and wife Tammy; his mother Ellen Studer; brother Alf Harper and wife Martina; brother Bob Studer and wife Jennifer; sister Alayne Budd and husband Art and their families, mother and father-in-law Laura and Len Shebeski; sister-in-law Kathryn Hatcher and husband David and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends. Benne was born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba. Throughout his career as a teacher, he taught in Thompson, Winnipeg, Sanford and Rosenort. He made many excellent life long friends in each community. At the same time, he contributed to the education, recreation and love of sport of all students he taught. He has been an active member of the Sanford community for the last 25 years and will be sorely missed by all. Jan, John and Tammy wish to thank family members, friends and the communities of Rosenort and Sanford for their constant and supportive presence. We also thank, the staff of 5A at the St. Boniface General Hospital. A memorial service, led by Rev. Peter Mitchell of Sanford United Church, will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, December 23 at Thompson Funeral Chapel 669 Broadway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bennes memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Sanford United Church Memorial Fund. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
