FANNY REIDER Peacefully on Thursday, December 21, 2000 at the Sharon Home, Fanny Reider, aged 97 years, passed away. Predeceased by her husband Emil, sister Sarah, brothers Bill and Joe. Fanny will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Abe (Estelle) and Morley (Judy) grandchildren, Rhoda (Woody), Natalie (Michael), Ray (Corinne), Ronald (Jane), Shale; great-grandchildren, Kristy (Tony), Laney (Kevin), Jared, Tiffany; great-great-grandchildren, Shane and Hunter. Fanny was born in Odessa, Russia in 1903 where she met her husband Emil and married in 1921. Fanny escaped Russia during the Russian Revolution and came to Canada with her parents and siblings and settled in Brandon. She later moved to Winnipeg until her passing. Fanny was an extraordinary individual who touched the lives of everyone she met. She was well respected for her kindness and compassion towards others and was always willing to give of her time. She was well known for her extraordinary baking, everything from her delicious chocolate chip cookies to her creative cakes and fine pastries. Funeral will be held at the Rosh Pina Synagogue on Sunday, December 24 at 12:00 noon. Private Shiva being observed. In lieu of flowers, please spend some quality time with your own family and remind yourself of how precious they really are.
