CLAUDE ARTHUR LANSARD After a brief illness, on Thursday, December 21, 2000 at Ste-Anne Hospital, Claude Lansard, beloved husband of Irene (Perreault), passed away at the age of 58. Born January 27, 1942 to Claudius Lansard and Jeannette Vranken. Claude was raised in Ste-Genevieve, MB. Claude and Irene were married on June 15, 1963. During their 37 years of marriage, Mom and Dad raised their family in Ste. Genevieve. Dad spent the last 30 years as a roofer and was a sought after craftsman. Dads friendly, outgoing nature and love of the outdoors, prompted him and a few of his friends to build a cabin at Terminal Lake, where he loved to spend time. Fishing and hunting were his longtime passions, and in more recent years his family and grandchildren were his greatest source of pride and enjoyment. His finest catch, was the love of his life, Irene. Together they had three children, Suzanne (Kerry) Church, (Kristiane, Eric, Ian) Pierre; Lise (Michel) Champagne, (Danica, Nicolas). Dad is survived by his sisters and brother, Marie-Louise (Donat) Carriere, Rose Lansard, Helene (Charles) Legal, Leonie (Ed) Bilcowski, Irene (Wilfred) Ross, Raymond (Rita) Lansard and brother-in-law Rene Desrosiers. Also survived by his mother-in-law Antoinette and sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice (Gerry) Sawyer, Gerard (Sofi), Denis (Cindy), Lionel (Cecile), Rene (Diane Sabourin), Alain (Diane), Roland, Rose-Marie (Neil) Buskell, Louise (Ray Wyant), Claudette (David Furutani) and brother-in-law Casey Wenzoski. Dad is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dad was predeceased by an infant brother Francis; his parents, Claudius and Jeannette; father-in-law Adelard; sister Therese and sister-in-law Rita. The family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to the staff at Ste Anne Hospital for the compassion and care they showed Dad. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Ste. Genevieve Cemetery Fund. Cremation has taken place and mass will be held on Wednesday, December 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Anne, MB.
