Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL CLAY JONES Born in Regina, Saskatchewan on June 9, 1980, died suddenly in Victoria on December 6, 2000. He leaves to mourn his devoted, loving parents, Glenn and Anne (Thornton) his brothers, Matthew and Cameron, his grandmother Doris Jones and grandparents, Lou and Pat Thornton. He is survived by his uncles and aunts, Ron (Gloria) and Ralph Jones, Burke (Kelli), Michael (Rene) and Douglas (Anne Marie) Thornton and his cousins, Alex, Patrick, Alexandra, Marika and Luke. Michael graduated from Frances Kelsey in 1998. He worked at several different jobs while preparing to attend post-secondary education. He was an avid outdoorsman, keen fisherman, hunter and certified diver. Mikes inquisitive mind loved the challenge of all things mechanical and electronic. He was a very private young man of quick wit and broad interests who touched the lives of many people. A Service of Remembrance was held at St. Johns Anglican Church, Cobble Hill on Thursday, December 14th at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. After cremation, his family will commit his remains to the oceans wherein he found such tranquility and joy. Rest in Peace
