KRISTEN DAWN MAYTWAYASHING (Keadno Pinasee Iqua/Northern ThunderBird Woman) Born August 20, 1982 in Winnipeg , Man. Suddenly passed away at the young age of 18 years, on the Lake Manitoba First Nation Reserve. She was predeceased by her grandparents Allan and Christina Maytwayashing and Margaret Swan; uncles, Roger, Ronnie, Lambert Maytwayashing, Louie and Raymond Swan; Aunt Doreen West; cousins, Kirby Choken, Marcus, baby Choken and Abby Maytwayashing. Left to mourn her passing are her mother Sharon Maytwayashing, her father Larry Swan and stepdad Gerry Maytwayashing; brothers, Harold (Pam), Steven (Crystal) and Curtis Maytwayashing, Darryl Swan (Kelly), disabled brother Chelsey Swan; her sisters, Lisa (James) Sherry (Dicky) and Ashley Swan; Godparents, Barbie S. and John Choken along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, nieces and nephews. Wake services will begin on Wednesday, December 27, at Sharon Maytwayashings residence at Lake Manitoba First Nation and will continue until Friday, December 29. Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29, at the St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church at Lake Manitoba First Nation with Father Mike Nwosu officiating. Interment to follow at the Lake Manitoba Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Sidney Maytwayashing, Ronnie Swan, Darryl Swan, Tamera Maytwayashing, Graham Grisdale and Nathan Paul.
