VICTOR HERMAN ENNS It is with deep sorrow that we, Theresa Enns and family, announce the peaceful passing away of our beloved husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather, on December 25, 2000 at the Victoria Hospital. Born August 8, 1917 in Blumenfeld, Russia, Victor came to Canada in 1925 and resided on a farm near Ste. Elizabeth until July 15, 1996 when a move was made to Bethel Place, Winnipeg. Victor was dedicated to his Lord. He enjoyed music and directed the church choir. He was a Sunday School teacher and Young Peoples Leader. He was at his best when it came to family. He loved farming. He was able to do this for most of his life. On October 25, 1959, he was ordained into the ministry by Rev. Nick Unruh at our local Lichtenau Church. There he served until 1979 and then he served and assisted at Elim Mennonite Church in Niverville until his retirement in 1994. He leaves us with the assurance of a reunion in our eternal home; his wife Theresa; children, Elfrieda (Neil), Charlotte (Udo), Hilda (Ed) and John (Lyn) grandchildren, David, Darryl, Rolf (Debbie), Kurt (Lynn), Brad, Robyn and Erik; great-grandchildren, Cassandra and Matthias; sister Lydia Boldt; brother Arthur (Sarah) Enns and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks for the wonderful care and compassion of the Bethel Place staff and residents, Victoria Hospital staff, Dr. Scott Young and our church family at Elim. Viewing and a short service will be held on Thursday, December 28 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 29 at 1:00 p.m. at the Elim Mennonite Church in Niverville. Interment will follow in Hespler Cemetery in Niverville. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8 or Youth For Christ, 325 Talbot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2L 0P9. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
