JOHN KUZMENK It is with deep sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of our dear Husband, Father and Grandfather on Saturday, December 23, 2000 at his residence. He was predeceased by his mother, father and sisters in the Ukraine and his son, Ronnie. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 52 years, Anne; his daughters Marlene (Helmut) Gordiev and Susan (Mike) Dowhayko; grandchildren Michelle and Lisa Gordiev; Stefan, Patrick and Logan Dowhayko and nieces and nephews in the Ukraine. Dad was born on June 10, 1923 in the Ukraine. While in Germany during the war, he met and married his beloved wife, Anne. Together with their son, they came to Canada in 1950 to start a new life. For 37 dedicated years, Dad proudly worked for the City of Winnipeg. He retired in 1988. Dad loved his children and grandchildren and took great pride in their accomplishments. His wife meant the world to him. He will be greatly missed by his family and those that knew him. We love you Dad. Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 28, between 7 - 8 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Viewing will take place between 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, at the Zion Apostolic Church, 305 Machray Avenue with Pastor Randy Wengel officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Wpg. R3B 2H8.
