Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryYVONNE (GRENIER) GISIGER Suddenly, on December 25, 2000, Yvonne Gisiger (Grenier) aged 78, passed away. She leaves to mourn her husband Joseph; son Denis (Marlene Johnson) of Ile des Chenes; daughter Joanne Emes (Yens) and grandson Tyson Emes of St. Labre. She will also be remembered by Marlenes daughter Sherri James (Darren), Winnipeg; son Jason Reimer (Marlow), Winnipeg; grandchildren, John and Michael Reimer who know her as Peperes mom. She is survived by six brothers, Joseph Grenier (Rolande), Winnipeg, George Grenier (Irene), St. Labre; Paul Grenier, Winnipeg; Hubert Grenier (Stella), St. Labre; Rosaire Grenier, St. Labre; Norbert Grenier (Lorraine), Port Coquitlam, BC; six sisters, Alphonsine Mondor, Lorette, Alexandrine Gerardy (Robert), St. Labre, Angeline Gagnon, Winnipeg, Laurette Fontaine (Lucien), Winnipeg, Ester Gagnon (Louis) La Broquerie and Denise Tourond (Adelard), Woodridge. Also Luc Gisiger (Lucille), Jean Gisiger (Jean Moore), Elise Richard, Marguerite Gisiger, Angele Gobin (Antoine), Helene Gregoire and many nieces and nephews. Yvonne was predeceased by one infant son Noel; one brother Paul; two sisters, Clemence Comeault (Denis), Noellia Gerardy (Robert) two sisters-in-law, Annette Grenier (Rosaire), Noella Grenier (Paul) and three brothers-in-law, Alexis Richard (Elise), Louis Gregoire (Helene) and Octave Mondor (Alphonsine). Yvonne was born in St. Labre on June 18, 1922. She grew up and went to school in St. Labre. Eventually, she moved to Winnipeg, where she worked for several years. She then returned home to St. Labre and married Joseph Gisiger in 1957. They operated a dairy farm together until retiring in 1987 when they moved next door and remained living there until her passing. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, December 30, at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Benoit Labre Catholic Parish in St. Labre, MB. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Woodridge Hall. Pallbearers will be: Rene Grenier, Gerry Grenier, Maurice Grenier, Joel Grenier, Lucien Grenier and Gerry Lebrun. A special thank you to Maurice and Susan for all their help. Thanks to the St. Pierre ambulance service for a speedy response and caring attendants, and to the St. Boniface emergency team and pastoral department. Your compassion was greatly appreciated. Thank you to all the friends and relatives who helped her maintain an independent life style over the last few years.
