LYNDA JEANNE MULLIGAN
Date of Passing: Dec 27, 2000
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYNDA JEANNE MULLIGAN After a brief illness Lynda passed away on December 27, 2000. Life was too short for Lynda but she enjoyed life while she had it. One of her greatest experiences was when she was able to travel with her husband Keith, to live and do volunteer nursing on the beautiful island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. She would occasionally ride on the back of a water buffalo to get to remote villages where she worked with the Indonesian doctor doing immunizations and family planning. Lynda was a people person and always greeted everyone she came into contact with, with a smile. Lynda, originally from Regina, moved to Thompson where she met Keith in December of 1970. Lynda worked at the Thompson General Hospital in N.F.A. and the operating room until November 1978 when she went to visit Keith who was now working in Indonesia. They were married in Manila, of the Philippines. Lynda was scared of dogs except the one they had as a family pet. The saddest time for her was when Bacardi our Cocker Spaniel died after having him for 15 years, one of her best souvenirs from overseas. Lynda will be greeted in heaven by her mother and mother-in-law who she had a special relationship with. Almost everyday one would phone the other just to talk. Lynda leaves to mourn her husband Keith, and their dog Lucky; also her father Lou Letourneau of Regina and numerous brothers and sisters. As requested by Lynda, no service will be held. Cremation has taken place and her remains are being laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, in Winnipeg, in the Garden of Apostles, next to her mother-in-law Clara and father-in-law Clarence. A thank you to all the doctors and nurses who attended to Lynda, especially the S.I.C.U. and the M.I.C.U. of the Health Science Centre. You are special people who do a fantastic job looking after the needs of the patient and the support to the family. "I love you Lynda and will always love you and Ill see you later." In 1963 as a young girl, I went to work at the Saskatchewan Hospital in Weyburn. This is where I met Lynda and we were roomates and best friends for 5 years. Decided to look her up only to find her orbit. Have many fond memories of our trip to Disney land and her little red Volkswagen. - Posted by: marge schultz (old friend) on: Jan 20, 2019
