Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE SCARLETT It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our husband, father and grandfather on December 22, 2000 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn, his wife of 46 years, Connie; sons, Victor (Fay), William (Marilyn) grandsons Evan and Kyle; son Roy, son Eric (Charlene) granddaughter Dayna; daughter Sheila; grandson Jordan; son Terry (Jacqueline) grandsons Nicholas and Patrick; and sisters Mildred and Doris. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Margaret, brothers Roy and Clarence and a daughter Roxanne. Born in 1924, he began his employment life as a fisherman. Came to Winnipeg at the age of 17 to work in construction, then as an elevator mechanic. His greatest challenge was as a radar rigger on the D.E.W. Line during the 1960s and 1970s. He was last employed as a maintenance man with Holt Renfrew. He also enjoyed many hours of comradeship at the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans Club. Cremation has taken place.
