GUDMUNDUR ADALSTEINN JACOBSON Peacefully, at his home, on Tuesday, December 26, 2000, Gudmundur, passed away at the age of 79 years. Gudmundur was born on March 12, 1921 to Gudmundur and Una Jacobson, the ninth of 11 children. He was married on September 28, 1946 to Gudbjorg Lilja (Lily) Gudmundson. They farmed in the Framnes District for many years. He proudly served in the Second World War for the P.P.C.L.I. Gudmundur was predeceased by his wife of 51 years Lily; his parents; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Sena Jacobson, Jim and Sena Jacobson; sister Bena Gislason; sister and brother-in-law Bara and John Boundy; brothers-in-law, Otto Holm, Buster Auchstaetter, Omar Plouffe and brothers, Ernest Jacobson, Kristinn Jacobson and Victor Hope, in infancy. Left to mourn his passing are sisters, Peggy Auchstaetter, Florence Plouffe; brother and sister-in-law Oli and Rose Jacobson; brother-in-law Gordon Gislason; sisters-in-law, Anna Jacobson, Thorey Jacobson and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for viewing at the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel, Saturday, December 30 and interment service will be held at Haga Cemetery followed by a memorial service at the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church, Arborg, Saturday, December 30, 2:00 p.m. Pastor Otto Christensen will officiate. Pallbearers will be Leslie, Robert, Ingvar and Dale Jacobson, Vincent Gibson and Hannes Boundy. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church, Arborg. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home, in care of arrangements.
