GORDON OWEN CURLL Peacefully, on December 23, 2000, at Deer Lodge Centre, Gordon Owen Curll, passed away at 91 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary (nee Hough) in 1992; brothers, Milton, Clifford, Nesbitt, Manson and baby Donald. Lovingly remembering him are sons, Stephen (Barbara) Winnipeg, Brian, Minitonas, Man.; daughter Daphne, Winnipeg; sister-in-law Jessie, Brandon and numerous nieces and nephews. Gordon was born in Edrans, Man., October 18, 1909. As his father was a station agent for the CPR, his early years were spent living in various Manitoba towns, culminating in his graduation from Birtle High School. He joined the Royal Bank in April, 1928 and the following years found him residing in several towns throughout Manitoba. During his years at Whitemouth, Man. he met Mary and they wed June 18, 1940. Upon retirement in 1969, he moved to Winnipeg where he resided until his passing. Gordon was a highly intelligent, strong, independent man with a deep, loving committment to family. He enjoyed a variety of interests in culture and sports plus volunteer work with several organizations. His family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. David Murray and the staff of Ward 4E, Deer Lodge Centre, for the committed and compassionate care of our father. Cremation has taken place. Following the winter, a private interment ceremony will be held at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of choice.
