Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERIC MOELLENBECK On December 26, 2000, our dear Father, Brother, Uncle and Grandpa passed away peacefully with his sweet baby girl at his side. He leaves to carry his glorious memory his beloved children, Cheryl (Jim), Diane, Daren (Karla), Doreen and Sharon (John) his beautiful grandchildren, Chanda, Ashley, James, Riki, Joshua, Braydon, Binesi and Jordan; his brother Alfons (Karola) and his sisters, Mathilde (Johannes) and Ola (Ben). There are many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends (who better know him as Dutchy) that will sadly miss his kind hearted nature. He now joins and walks with his son Ricky, parents Johanna and Henrich Moellenbeck and his wife of many years Brenda Redsky. This special spirit was blessed to be on this earth for 65 years. Eric was born on October 21, 1935 in Rhedebrugge, Germany. In 1957 he moved to Canada and married Brenda Redsky in 1966. He spent many years enjoying his passion of training Thoroughbred horses in various farms in Manitoba. He also enjoyed several seasonal jobs as a heavy duty operator and snow removal. We honor his wonderful man for his happy go lucky spirit who always had a funny story to share. We are grateful for the many things he taught us, for the time we had and for his many caring friends at the Sherbrook Hotel. All that I am is because of you; Your silent strength, and long suffering endurance Though never spoken aloud, I knew your love It enveloped me where ere I was A shooting star across my life, Brilliant, yet not nearly long enough Your smile, your laugh, your humour are still mine to share Though these may fade with the passage of time. My memory of you is still fresh, quiet and alive The wind now carries your voice; The sun your smile The birds your spirit And the clouds your wisdom - But we carry your love. Erics children would like to express sincere thanks to the Elskamp family. You have always been there for us and we are grateful once again for your love, kindness, support and prayers. Our family also wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the HSC for their care and support. Funeral service will be held at the Church of the Annunciation, Woodlands, MB on Saturday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Rev. Father Guy Lavallee O.M.I. will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Woodlands Church of Annunciation Cemetery Fund or a charity of your choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home Stonewall in care of the arrangements.
