CECIL WALLACE McCALLISTER On Wednesday, December 27, 2000, at his residence, Cecil Wallace McCallister of Portage la Prairie, beloved husband of May McCallister, passed away at the age of 92 years. Predeceased by his parents; brothers, Gordon, Harold, John, he leaves to mourn his passing his wife May; sons, Basil and Diane of rural Portage; Irvin and Judy of Kenora, Ont., grandchildren, Jessica and Christopher; and Lorne and Maureen of Edmonton. Also surviving are his brother Doug and Dorothy of Edmonton; sisters, Margaret Watson, Irene and Bill Ogilvie, all of Portage; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home, Portage la Prairie, on Saturday, December 30, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the family plot at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home for visitation on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Portage Hospital, 524 Fifth Street SE, Portage la Prairie, Man., R1N 3A8. The Omega Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
