Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILDUR SIGRIDUR AITKENHEAD (nee PALSSON) In the arms of her family, Hildur Sigridur Aitkenhead breathed her last breath, on December 26, 2000. Husband Harold; sons Thor and Sean, and brother Beggi are utterly devastated by her loss. "Our hearts have vanished though our love is absolute". Hildur was born in Winnipeg to Bergthor and Helen Palsson (nee Johnson) on July 23, 1942. Raised on Hecla Island, she lived, loved ad worked in Vancouver, Gimli, CFS Gypsumville, Moose Jaw, Portage la Prairie and Winnipeg. Her family and friends share this aching loss, and yet, have provided invaluable love and support. A viewing for the immediate family will be held between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m., followed by family and friends, between 8:30 and 10:00 p.m., on January 1, 2001 at the Church of the Way, 450 Lilac St., Winnipeg. A memorial service and celebration will b held at the town hall in Hecla on July 21, 2001. All are welcome. Hidurs cremated remains will be dispersed into Lake Winnipeg at this time. The honorary pallbearers are, Michelle Aitkenhead, Jill Aitkenhead, Andrea Aitkenhead, Einie Torfason, Norman Paulson and Dan Palsson. The family would appreciate donations to the charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers.
