Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM LUBY February 15, 1917 - December 27, 2000 On Wednesday, December 27, 2000, Bill (Willie) Luby passed away at the age of 83 at East Gate Lodge, Beausejour. Bill is survived by his wife of 32 years Olga; his daughter Linda (Bill Verasky) and step-daughters, Verna Pauline (Arni Thorarinson), Myrtle (Rudy Novakoski), Diane (Johnny Drapotoy) ten grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael Luby and Justina Baginski; his first wife Pat and his brothers and their spouses, Stan (Anne) and Marvin (Mary). Bill worked at CNR Transcona Shops for 37 years, retiring as a pipefitter in 1975. He was born in Winnipeg living on Navin Road, moving to Transcona approximately in 1926. In 1976 he moved to Tyndall until 2000 when failing health forced him to move to East Gate Lodge in Beausejour. Bills passions were building, repairing, gardening and fishing. Bill, Olga and family spent many happy years at their summer residence at Leisure Falls. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 30 at 10:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy #1 East at Green Acres Lane, with Deacon Paul Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff at East Gate Lodge for the compassionate care they provided. GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
