Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST (ERNIE) HUTSEL On December 26, 2000, Ernest Hutsel, of Winnipeg, Man., passed away at the age of 66. Ernie was born on February 28, 1934, the youngest child of Kate (Lipinski) and Roman. He was raised on farms in the Oakburn and Olha areas. He moved to Winnipeg and married Irys Donoghue in June 1956. They had four children, sons, Doug (Vicki), Neil (Kim) and Graham, and one daughter Lisa (Jacques Proulx). Ernie spent his life "on the road" as a long distance transport driver. Mostly as an owner-operator traveling all over Canada and the U.S.A. for such companies as Imperial Roadways, A&H Kostuk, Great-West, Kron, Kingsway and SRP. Declining eyesight led to his early retirement. He was predeceased by his parents; brother Paul, sister Mary, brothers-in-law, Alex Karpienko and Frank Williamson. He is survived by sisters, Julie (Karpienko) and Rose (Bill Gauryluk), brother Tony (Ella), sister-in-law Marie Hutsel. A graveside service with interment will be held Saturday, December 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Shoal Lake Municipal Cemetery, Shoal Lake, Man. Campbell Funeral Home of Hamiota, Man., in care of arrangements, 1-204-764-2744.
