Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySAUL HOCHMAN July 8, 1921 - December 20, 2000 Surrounded by loved ones, Saul Hochman peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2000. Saul will be remembered with love, affection and respect, by wife Hetty; children, Karen, Jerry (Arlene) and Rhonda (Richard) and Sauls pride and joy, his grandchildren, Erin, Jennifer, Jonathan, Avery, Marnie, Michael, Jonathan, Steven, Robert, Coleman, Jonah, Alexandra and Vanessa; sister Rochel Epstein and brother Charlie Hochman. As a husband, father, zaida, brother and uncle, family was the centre of his life. He was a teacher, a roll model, and a hero to his grandchildren. Saul was a genuine, charismatic, considerate, passionate man who will be remembered with joy and missed with sadness by all who were touched by him. Saul was predeceased by his first wife Mickey (Shest), his brother Oscar and sister Etta Lander. Pallbearers were Tom Blumberg, Howard Davidow, Butch Hochman, Wayne Leach, Coleman Swartz and Richard Winston. Funeral services were held at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue on December 20 with interment at the Hebrew Sick Cemetery. Words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation felt towards Dr. Earl Hershfield and the wonderful caring and tireless staff at the Riverview Health Centre who helped to provide dignity and a loving environment during a most difficult time.
