Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH IRENE STEWART (HELSTON) We sadly announce that Ruth Stewart passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on December 28, 2000, after a brief illness, at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Left to cherish her memory are her son Sherwood; daughter Carol; daughter-in-law Lorna; nieces, nephews and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander in 1961; son Ross in 1994 and brothers, Maurice and George and sister Jane Helston. Mom was born on April 10, 1903, in Staples, Minnesota, and moved as a young child with her parents to Winnipeg. She received her education at Gladstone, Earl Grey and Kelvin High Schools. She was a member of Regents Park United Church and U.C.W. Unit 1. In keeping with Ruths wishes, there will be no formal service. A private family interment will be held in Garry Memorial Park at a later date. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff on 7A south and in the Intensive Care Unit for their compassionate care. Flowers are gratefully declined.
