He was a retired supervisor of road maintenance and construction with the Trinidad Ministry of Work and Transportation. Son of the late Harry Persad and Alice Baban Mahatoo. Husband of Sheila (Ramdeen) brother of Harold (92 Pere Oblat Dr., Winnipeg, 256-4984) Grace, Andrew (Brampton, Ont.), Dennis, Cynthia, Sylvia (Florida), Sandra and Dave; uncle of Brendan (Springs Christian Academy), Roel (Toronto, Ont.), Nerina (Guelph, Ont.) and Nadine (Calgary, Alta.). Father of 11 and grandfather of 26. Funeral services were held in Trinidad on December 19 with cremation at the Caroni Cremation Site according to Presbyterian Rites.
