HELEN BRELAND December 23, 1925 - December 27, 2000 Tragically on December 27, at Revelstoke, B.C., our mother left this life. She leaves to mourn her children, Wayne (Deborah), Linda (John) and her youngest son Wesley. Mom also leaves her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her husband Patrick in 1982 and also her parents, George and Mary Thomas of Kenora, Ont. Helen is also survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Graham of Vancouver, B.C., and Jean Wright of Brampton, Ont., and many nieces and nephews. Mom was always known as a caring person to all that knew her. There was always something cooking at her home, which she was known for, or a cup of tea and some good advice to those who asked. Helen and her later companion in life (Frank Gallusz) loved to travel and just enjoy life all they could. Her home was always a place where one could seek refuge from the harsh things in life. Her grandchildren were always there whether just to talk or to go to a game of bingo with her (her favourite pastime) or to listen to her storys of her travels. Mom will be missed by all that knew her. Prayer service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 3 at 1:00 p.m. at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Private family interment.
