Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAGMAR NORMA WALLIN (nee BJORKMAN) Peacefully on December 29, 2000 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Dagmar Wallin passed away at the age of 82. She was predeceased by her husband Olaf on August 19, 1991, as well as her five sisters. Her memory will be forever cherished by her children, daughters, Leone (Brian) Zimmer, Beverly (Norm) Smith, Phyllis (Jim) Brown; son Russell (Mindy) Wallin; grandchildren, David and Scott Zimmer of Thunder Bay, ON, Pam (Aaron) Bass and Craig Smith of Banff, AB, Aynsley, Aron, and Cameron of Fernie, B.C., Genny Brown, and Dexter, Alysha-Jean, Savannah-Rain Wallin; her sister Mabel Bjorkman of California, Sybil Gruela of Dryden, ON, Verna Nelson of Winnipeg; brother Alan (Mary) Bjorkman of Toronto, ON, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Family was a big part of her life and this extended to the 23 foster children that mom and dad cared for. She enjoyed knitting, baking, and her holidays in the trailer whether it be at Blindfold Lake or Hecla. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2001 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens and a reception will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Childrens Hospital Foundation, 501-840 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1S1.
