ARIE IKAR The family announces with great sadness the sudden passing of their husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Arie Ikar, on Saturday, December 16, 2000 at the age of 72. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of almost 51 years, Hadassa; his sons, David (Margarita) and Aharon; his daughters, Tamara (Gabriel) and Esther (David) grandchildren, Hagit (Jorge) Adi, Michelle, Etgar, Leslie, Maayan, Joshua and Lior, and great-grandchild Arturo. Arie also leaves to cherish his memory, relatives in Israel, Chile and Honduras, as well many friends here in Canada and abroad. He was born in Punta Arenas, Chile. Arie passed away while visiting his son and family in Honduras, and was therefore laid to rest there. Arie enjoyed life very much and gave a lot of his time to religious and Chilean community projects. Many will remember him for his infectious laugh, generosity, dedication, and tireless commitment. He was dedicated to his faith in God, which has given much comfort to all those mourning his loss. The family would like to thank all of those who have been so supportive during this difficult time. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. at the Worldwide Church of God at 50 Barnes, Ft. Garry.
