R.M. (MEL) WEAFER On December 27, 2000 at the Rainy River Hospital in Rainy River, Ont., Mr. R.M. Weafer (Mel) passed away at the age of 72 years. Mel is survived by his three sons, Bob Weafer of Saskatoon, Sask., Kelly Weafer of Kamloops, B.C., and Tim Weafer of Thunder Bay, Ont., and two daughters, Andrea Weafer of Rainy River, Ont., and Julie Weafer of Penticton, B.C. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Mathew and Drew Weafer of Kamloops, B.C., Clinton Weafer of Rainy River, Ont., and Christopher Diablo of Thunder Bay, Ont.; his brother Barry Weafer of White Rock, B.C. and his sister Sharon Wozny of Winnipeg, Man. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the Knox United Church in Rainy River, Ont., with Rev. Frances Flook officiating. In memoriam donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society c/o Mrs. Sophie Arpin, Box 551, Rainy River, Ont., P0W 1L0.
