STEWART S. BRADFORD Passed away Monday, December 26, in Dawson Creek, B.C., where he has lived for several years. Stewart was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Cora Bradford and his sister Joye Meneer. He is survived by his brothers, Jack in Toronto, and Ted with his wife Rheta in Winnipeg; as well as a number of nephews and nieces in Winnipeg, Thompson, Vancouver and New York. Stewart was born in Makaroff, Man., on August 7, 1930 where his father was the CNR Station Agent. They later moved to Durban, Man., Stenen, Sask, and then to Carberry, Man., in 1945 where his father also managed the local hockey team in which Stew and his brothers played. Stewart began work as a CNR Telegraph Lineman. He later spent many years as a Construction Crew Foreman with the Alberta Government Telephones before finally moving to B.C. Hydro working on High Wire projects in the mountains before his retirement. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at the Neil Bardal Funeral Home, 983 Portage Ave., (at Aubrey Street) in Winnipeg at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2001. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Officiating clergy are Rev. Bruce Martin and Rev. H.H. Barber of Calgary Temple. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
