GERTRUDE MARGARET MIDDLESTEAD On Sunday, December 31, 2000 Gertrude (Gertie) Middlestead, aged 93 years, widow of the late Bill Middlestead, passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre. Gertie was born on September 22, 1907 in Casselton, North Dakota and lived in Hilbre, Manitoba until her marriage. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1970. She is survived by her brother Emil in Hilbre, MB; her children Herb, Helen Royko, Gloria White (John) and Audrey Loiselle (Jerry). She was known as Nana to her nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Heartfelt thanks to the caring staff on 2 East at the Riverview Health centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 4, at 2:30 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue, Aubrey Street entrance, with viewing one hour prior to the service.
