ERNEST (ERNIE) TOMLINSON 1920 - 2000 Peacefully on Saturday, December 30, 2000 in the Donwood Manor Personal Care Home at the age of 80 years. Ernie was predeceased by his loving wife Sylvia in 1995; his sisters, Lil and Margaret and by one grandson Glen Sinclair. He will be dearly missed by his daughters, Sylvia (Louie) Toplensky of Williamsford, Ont., and Brenda (Wayne) Gower of Anola, Man.; granddaughters, Darlene Sinclair and Debbie Metcalf; grandsons, Chris (Yvonne) Gower and Adam (Jodi) Gower; great-grandchildren, Jessie, Katie, Amanda, Cassaundra, Sydney and Brooklyn. Ernie retired from Simmons Bedding Company in 1985. Retirement gave Ernie and Sylvia more time to enjoy fishing, bowling, camping and travelling; especially with their beloved pet Blackie. Since the passing of his wife Sylvia in 1995, Ernie has resided at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to all the Nurses and Staff of Donwood Manor for their endless care and compassion. In keeping with Ernies wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, 171 Donwood Dr., on Wednesday, January 3, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
