ANNE HUMISKI (nee BURAK) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother and grandmother on December 30, 2000 at the age of 70. She was predeceased by her husband Nick; parents, Ignace and Nina; sister Lovey; daughter-in-law Diana and niece Nena-Mary. She leaves to mourn her children, Robert of Calgary, William (Lois), Shirley Schritt (John), Barb and Carol Gilmore (Blake) all of Winnipeg; her grandchildren, Jim, Melanie, Brittney, Caitlin and Kristina; also her sisters, Nade Hargreaves (Tom) of Winnipeg and Vera Marlais (Michael) of Oliver B. C. and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Anne was born in St. Boniface on September 23, 1930 and lived her entire life in the Winnipeg area. She retired from Sears, Polo Park after 18 years of service. She was devoted to the well being of her husband and family. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and cooking . One could drop by at anytime and shed insist that you have something to eat. She was very generous and shared her bounty with others. Mom could fit in with any crowd young or old and following Nicks death enjoyed time spent at her childrens trailers at St. Malo, at the cabin on Lake of the Woods and trips to Calgary. She was a unique individual that we will always hold dear and lovingly remember. Her absence will leave a deep void in all of those who knew her. Prayers will be on Thursday, January 4, at 7:00 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion Street. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 5, at 1:30 p.m. also in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel. Rev. Father John Mostivsky and Annes brother-in-law Rev. Deacon Michael Jacyna will officiate with interment to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Gary Humiski, John Strutynski, Randy Hargreaves, Dan Humiski, Steve Jacyna and Ross Kell. The family would like to thank Dr. William Blight for his care throughout the years, as well as the staff of ward 5E at St. Boniface Hospital for their wonderful care and support. P. COUTU & CO.
