PHILIP TRUDEAU Beloved husband of Irma, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 1, 2001 at the age of 57 years. Philip was predeceased by his father Jean-Paul. He is survived by his loving family, wife Irma of 35 years; son David, daughter Leanne (Ross) Findlay, all of Winnipeg; son Parrish (Cara) of Kemptville, ON; grandson Maclean Findlay; mother Phyllis Trudeau of Winnipeg; sisters, Anne-Marie (Ed) Francis, Elaine Trudeau, Michelle Trudeau (Russell Lelliott), Pat (George) Dixon, Jacquie (Marc) Joubert, and Deanne (David) Strang; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Philip was born on September 2, 1943 in Winnipeg, MB. He married Irma Jansen in 1965 and in 1967 they moved to Transcona, where he worked at Griffin Steel. Philip was employed with the City of Winnipeg as an Electrical Inspector for over 25 years, retiring in 1998. He loved helping others, especially with plumbing and electrical tasks, and other handyman jobs. Philip loved the outdoors, the beach, the ocean, and going to Hawaii every winter. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandson Maclean. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 5 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 505 Brewster St., with Rev. Fr. Wenceslao Rebillaco presiding. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made in Philips memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
