JOSEPH ALBERT HOULE "KADABOOSE" September 22, 1934 - December 30, 2000 Suddenly, on December 30, 2000, Joseph Albert Houle passed away at his residence. Albert was born on September 22, 1934 to Delorme and Sophia Houle. As a young man, he worked at fishing and farming in the surrounding communities. Albert was employed at Winnipeg Cold Storage and Quinn Construction. He also worked as a special constable with the Ste. Rose Detachment of the R.C.M.P. He drove the school bus to Ste. Rose and Ebb & Flow for 12 years, along with some commercial fishing. Before his retirement, he worked as a security guard for the Ebb & Flow First Nation. No one would ever find Albert sitting around. He enjoyed puttering around the house and found great enjoyment in working. He will always be remembered for his love of old time dancing and square dnacing. He especially loved listening to his fiddle music. Albert enjoyed watching his grandsons playing hockey and was an avid fan of the Ebb & Flow Flyers and the Ebb & Flow Lakers. Albert mentioned to his family that he enjoyed teasing, especially little kids. He said, "It was his way of showing that he cared for them." He will be sadly missed. Albert was predeceased by his daughter Emily Marie; his parents, Delorme and Sophia; two brothers, Fred and Rene; one sister Mable; one niece Sharon and one nephew Randy. He will be cherished and sadly missed by his loving wife of 42 years, Nora. His six children, Selma and husband Ron Anderson of Reedy Creek, MB, Morris and wife Pearl of Ebb & Flow, MB, Warren and wife Marie of Brandon, MB, Lorele of Ebb & Flow, Barclay and wife Jacqueline of Ebb & Flow, and Carmale and friend Juan Figueroa of Winnipeg, MB, and four grandchildren whom they lovingly raised, Loella, John, Carl and Natalie. There are 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Albert will be missed by his two brothers, Archie of Winnipeg and Andrew and wife Martha of Ebb & Flow and his sister Grace Svens of Red Sucker Lake, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Wake and prayer services were held on Tuesday, January 2, 2001 beginning at 4:00 p.m. from the Ebb & Flow Band Hall. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 3 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ebb & Flow Band Hall. Fr. Reynold Omictin officiating with the interment following in the Ebb & Flow Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Mark Houle, Danny Flett, Dwayne Spence, Kelvin Houle, Emile Houle and Stanley Houle. Nora and her family wish to express their appreciation for the kindness and support shown to them by all of the family, friends and neighbours. Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel, Ste.
