ALMA SEEWALD (nee Laurendeau) Peacefully on January 1, 2001, at Ste. Annes Hospital and with family at her side, Alma Seewald passed away at the age of 85. Mom/Grandma was predeceased by her beloved husband Charles; son Noel and grandson Tyson, as well as her brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilfred and Irene, Raoul and Diana, Adelard and Rita and brothers-in-law Gerard Verrier and Jules Boisjoli. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Berthe (Dave) Frank, Marie (Ray) Jacques, Therese Mondor and friend Kenny; sons, Paul (Yvonne) Seewald, Guy Seewald and friend Jeanine, Leo (Lynda) Seewald and Joseph (Rose) Seewald; daughter-in-law Harriett as well as all her grandchildren, Roger, David, Nicole, Michelle, Trevor, Richard, Andrea, Patrick, Melanie, Rochelle, Celine, Monique, Brigitte, Jeanine, Marc and Daniel and great-grandchildren, Brittany, Briana, Brooklyn, Marc, Colin, Justin, Samantha and Savanah. She is also survived by her sisters, Ernestine Verrier, Alice Desrosiers and Gracia Boisjoli and many nephews and nieces. Alma lived a life of devotion. After her mother died young, she helped raise all her brothers and sisters and went on to raise eight children of her own. She was deeply devoted to her religion, and was an active member of her Church. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, January 3 at 7:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 4 at 2:00 p.m. in Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Ste. Anne, MB. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Roger Seewald, Richard Seewald, Marc Seewald, Patrick Hernandez-Jacques, Celine Sevald and Jeanine Sevald. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be So He put His arms around you And whispered, "Come to Me" You tried so hard to stay with us But your fight was all in vain God took you in His loving arms, and Freed you from your pain.
