ARTHUR EDWARD ALLEN It is with great sadness that the family of Arthur Allen announces his passing on January 2, 2001. Art will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 47 years Dorothy and children, Lynn (John) Bergman of Kenora, Ontario; Kevin (Trudy) Dale (Susan) Arts brother Jim and sister Faye (Roy) Langlands of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; grandchildren, Colin, Katy, Bryan, Chelsea, Brett, Samantha, Benjamin, and Matthew. Art was born February 15,1934 in Dodsland, Saskatchewan to Phyllis and Robert. He was a hard worker who loved to laugh and tease. He and Dorothy moved from Saskatchewan but his heart never truly left it. He loved returning to the farm, working the land, and cheering on his Saskatchewan RoughRiders and the Canadians. He enjoyed all sports, playing, coaching, and watching. Art worked 37 years for the CNR retiring in 1991. On retirement he enjoyed golf, curling, and his puzzles. He was a proud grandpa who loved the card games with the grandkids. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Arts life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 6 at Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Drive. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Research Foundation. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474
