Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORIS NAGY Weep you no more sad fountains; What need you flow so fast? Look how the snowy mountains Heavens sun doth gently waste. But my suns heavenly eyes View not your weeping, That now lies sleeping Softly, now softly lies Sleeping. Sleep is reconciling, A rest that peace begets; Doth not the sun rise smiling When fair at een he sets? Rest you then, rest, sad eyes; While she lies sleeping Softly, now softly lies Sleeping. With thanks to Thomas Campion Doris Nagy was born of Peter and Mary Chobatar on September 9, 1931 in the town of Sundown, Manitoba. In her twenties she moved to Winnipeg, finding work at the former Okum Inn, meeting her future husband. In her own words "We worked together for a while at the Okum Inn when he asked me out on a date. The rest is history; 41 years." They married on May 3, 1959, and gave life to five children. She had many interests, to sewing beautiful hand made quilts, cooking, and baking cookies that were popular with all. She was a loving vibrant spirit, who touched the lives of all she met. To all who knew her, she was the tie that bonded friends and family. So it is with deepest regret and sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Nagy, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. After a courageous battle, she succumbed to cancer on January 3, 2001 at 8:40 a.m. Surrounded by family, her passing was peaceful. We have appreciated the condolences from all, and thank you in advance for your outpouring and concern. Prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 5 at the Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Chapel services will be held at Glen Eden on Monday, January 8 at 10:00 a.m. A reception will be held at Glen Eden after internment, and we invite you to celebrate Doriss memory and life afterwards held at Christopher Nagys house at 527 McAdam.
