Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICK WONCHALUK Peacefully, on Thursday, January 4, 2001 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Nick Wonchaluk, aged 84 years, of Selkirk. Nick was predeceased by his parents, John and Rose; sisters, Mary Kisko and Ann Starchuk, and his brother Mike. He is survived by his brother William and numerous relatives and friends. Nick was born in East Selkirk on November 19, 1916. He served overseas in the Second World War for five years, from 1939 to 1945, in North Africa, Sicily, Belgium and Holland. He loved the outdoors and worked as a logger, trapper and commercial fisherman. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 8 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with a viewing to be held one half hour prior to service. Interment will follow in the St. Clements Cemetery. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 42 will form an Honor Guard and perform Legion Rites. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
