MILDRED PEARL WOODWORTH Passed away at the Baldur Personal Care Home on Tuesday, January 2, 2001, at the age of 96 years, Mildred Pearl Woodworth of Baldur, Man. Pearl leaves to mourn her passing her loving children, Nora (Don) Kletke of Mississauga, Ont., Aleda (Ian) Turnbull of Victoria, B.C., Leonard (Pat) of Lac du Bonnet, Man.; six grandchildren, Mark, Scott, Laurel, Robert, Darryl and Christina, and by three great-grandchildren. Pearl is also survived by her sisters, Winnifred Havelock of Winnipeg and Gwen Jackson of Neepawa; sister-in-law Jessie Smith of Burlington, Ont.; brother-in-law Ross Holder of Beausejour, Man., as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Winnifred Smith; husband Herbert; brothers, Murray, Ivan and Lyman and by a sister Madge Holder. Mom was born and raised and spent most of her life in the Baldur area. She taught school at Baldur and Swan Lake prior to marrying Herbert in 1935. Mom and dad farmed just west of Baldur. She worked very hard on the farm during tough times to make a living and raise a family. They retired and moved into Baldur in 1968. Mom was a great historian recording facts in diaries and photographs. She had an exceptional memory for detail and was always correct. She devoted her life to her family, church, friends, community and gardening. The family would like to thank the Baldur Manor staff for their special care and attention. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the Baldur United Church with Rev. Irene Onuch Penhale officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Baldur Cemetery. Friends that so desire, memoriams may be made in Pearls memory to the Baldur Personal Care Home, Baldur, Man., R0K 0B0.
