SYLVIA ANEMA Mrs. Sylvia Anema, widow of the late Edward Anema passed away at the Concordia Hospital on Thursday, January 4, 2001 following a brief illness. Mrs. Anema will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ray (Nellie), Cor (Karen), Jack (Meryl), Bill (Grace), August (Bonnie), Edward, Annette Turnbull (Jim), Jim Lee, and Jamie Lee, as well as 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Sylvia is also survived by her sister-in-law Hannie Ruig, brothers-in-law Harmen Anema and Andries Posthuma, all of the Netherlands and sister-in-law Mary Anema of Edmonton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Canada, the U.S.A. and The Netherlands. Friends may pay their respects on Monday, January 8 between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Highway 1 East at Green Acres Lane and prior to the service. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 9 at 1:00 p.m. in Transcona Christian Reformed Church, 6 Kern Driver, with Pastor David Swinney officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Sylvias memory to the Calvin Christian School, 245 Sutton Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2G 0T1.
