SONJA BEZAN It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sonja Bezan on December 23, 2000 at the age of 25. Sonja will be sadly missed by her mother Manda (nee Pauirc) brother and sister-in-law, Davor and Tara; sister Katherine, and father Slavco. She will also be missed by her auntie Marica, and cousins, Nadia and Mary of Winnipeg, as well as her friends and her family in Europe, many who havent seen her since she was a baby. Sonja graduated from Glenlawn Collegiate in 1993. After graduation she went to work for Wawanesa Insurance Group for seven years where she worked her way up to Underwriting Clerk. Sonja went to Calgary in March, 2000 to attend DeVry Technical Institute where she took various computer and office courses as well as some accounting courses. While in Calgary she met many new friends and did not fail to keep the friends she already had close to her. She enjoyed many new things that Calgary had to offer her, yet always letting her family and friends know how much she missed them. Sonja was an extremely determined person who did not let challenges stand in her way. Often, if she was told she couldnt do something, she went out of her way to prove she could. Sonjas greatest joy was having close friends and family that she could talk to and know that they would always be there for her. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2001 at Springs Church, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd. with Pastor Lewis Van Stienkist, with a private family interment at a later date.
