ROBERT BLAIR Peacefully on Friday, January 5, 2001, Robert (Bert) Blair at the age of 84 went home to be with his Lord. Bert was born in Scotland March 27, 1916 and came to Canada in 1926. He was married in 1940 and had 52 wonderful years with Doris, who predeceased him in 1992. Bert will be lovingly remembered by his son Bryan and wife Monique of Brampton, Ont. and by his grandson Christopher. He will also be missed by his sister Sadie Moffat. He was predeceased by his brother John. He will also be missed by sister-in-law Lorna and husband Edward Locht and sister-in-law Nancy Blair and their family and also nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by his dear friend Frances Wilson. Bert will also be remembered by his friends and colleagues at Air Canada where he was employed for 34 years, retiring in 1976. He was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church for close to 50 years and will be remembered kindly by all his friends at Bethel. Heartfelt thanks to the nurses on the third floor at Grace Hospital and Dr. Fletcher, also special thanks to Pastor Arden Boville. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with Pastor Arden Boville officiating. Service will terminate in the chapel.
