MINA ANHANG On December 22, 2000, in her 98th year, Mina Anhang, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at the Baycrest Centre, Jewish Home for the Aged, in Toronto. Predeceased by her husband, Louis, and her daughter, Ruthie; she leaves to mourn her passing, her three sons, Bill of Montreal, Jake and Vivian of Toronto, and Abe and Barbara of Winnipeg; as well as eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. In addition, she is survived by her two sisters, Sabi Leitner and Sala Lipperman of Haifa, Israel. Funeral services were held at the Shaarey Tefillah Synagogue in Toronto on December 24, 2000, with Rabbi M. Stern officiating. Interment followed at Bathurst Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Donation in her memory may be made to the Baycrest Centre, to the Louis and Mina Anhang Scholarship Fund for Needy and Deserving Students at Yeshiva or Chaim/Ulpanot Orot, to the Herzlia Synagogue in Winnipeg, to the Winnipeg Library Foundation, or the a charity of ones choice.
