MARIA THERESA AMBROSKI Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 2, 2001 at the Victoria General Hospital, Maria Ambroski quietly passed away. We mourn her loss but celebrate her long rich life of 88 years. Remaining to forever cherish her memory is her daughter Joyce Lazar (Larry), grand-children, David Lazar (Corinne) of Montreal, Donna Williams (John) of Surrey B.C.; four great-grandchildren, Natasha and Margot Lazar, Claudia and Dayna Williams. Maria is also survived by her sisters, Cora Crosby, Betty Fortin and numerous nieces and nephews. Maria was predeceased in 1997 by her loving husband Paul of 51 years; two brothers, Henry and Robert Buckinx. Mom will be remembered as a women of tremendous inner strength. Her priorities in life were her home and family. Moms joy in life was her love of gardening and hours spent knitting, sewing, doing crafts and needlework for her family and friends. Mom was a lifetime member of the Winnipeg Womens Institute. A Service of Remembrance will be held to celebrate moms life on Friday, January 12, at 1:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Street. Thanks to all at the Victoria General Hospital who helped us through this time. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
