Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAISY (THERESA) HOFSTED (nee MEISNER) Peacefully, on January 4, 2001, in her 100th year, Daisy Hofsted passed away. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Mac and daughter Mae. Daisy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Marlene and granddaughter Sharon Krieger of Kitchener, Ontario; sister-in-law Winnie Williams of Gilroy, California, Wilf and Helene Booth; as well as many other special nieces, nephews and friends. Daisy enjoyed 72 years of marriage and a lifetime of happiness with her family. She was the youngest and last surviving member of the Henry Meisner family who homesteaded near Moosehorn, Manitoba in the early 1900s. When she moved to the city she worked for many years in a sewing factory while making her home a warm and welcoming place to be. Her grand-daughter Sharon has always been very special to her. Daisy had a great sense of humour and graciously appreciated any small service done for her. The family would like to add their thanks to hers for the wonderful care she received at the Golden Door personal care home. A service celebrating Daisys life will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2001, at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with Pastor Tim Graff officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
