WALTER ROZMUS Peacefully, on Friday, January 5, 2001 at the Betel Home, Selkirk, Walter Rozmus aged 98 years. Walter leaves to cherish his memory his children, William (Elinor), Henry (Eleanor), Violet (Albert) and Joan (Sid) grandchildren, Shelly (Rick), Mark (Bev) and Ken (Gina). He was predeceased by his loving wife Agnes Wasney in September 1996. He was born in Poland on December 15, 1902 and came to Canada as an infant. Walter resided in both Highland Glen and Winnipeg and married Agnes Wasney on July 1, 1925. They were married for 71 years and together they raised four children. Walter was an enterprising man in both business and farming. He could tame a wild horse with his love and gentle ways for his animals. He had a great sense of humour and had a story or joke for every occasion and he could knock a tree down at the age of 92 years. Walters greatest passion was his love for his Lord and Saviour. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 9 at 1:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk with Mr. Ken Fernets presiding. Interment to follow in the Ashfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. All the way my Saviour leads me; What have I to ask beside? Can I doubt His tender mercy, Who through life has been my guide? Heavenly peace, divinest comfort, Here by faith in Him to dwell; For I know whateer befall me, Jesus doeth all things well.
