Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACOB (JAKE) PETERS Jacob (Jake) Peters, aged 74 years, of Morris, passed away on Saturday January 6, 2001 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Margery and Louis Duval of St. Jean Baptiste, Mary Peters and Doug Marks of Lomond, AB, Joyce and Doug Penner of Ste. Elizabeth; one son and daughter-in-law Fred and Heather Peters of Morris; seven grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Jake was predeceased by his parents Isbrand and Susan Peters; brothers Abram (infancy), Abram (adolescent), Isbrand (Ike), and Henry; and sister Susan Epp. He is survived by his sister Nettie Krahn of Grunthal; brother Pete and wife Tina of Winkler; sisters-in-law, Helen (Henry) of Morris, Alvina (Ike) of Winnipeg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jake was born on July 1, 1926 at Haskett, MB, moving to the Broadview area with his parents in 1936. During his work life he farmed at Broadview. In later years he was involved in construction. Jake was a Life Member of the Morris Curling Club. The funeral service will be held at the Morris United Church at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 9, 2001. On behalf of Dad we would like to extend his appreciation to the staff of the Morris General Hospital and Dr. Robert Manness, the Health Sciences Centre staff and Dr. Nason for their care. If friends so desire, remembrances of Jake may be made to the Morris United Church Memorial Fund, in care of Box 216, Morris, MB, R0G 1K0.
