ELIZABETH M. FONTAINE (nee COURCHENE) It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Great-Grandmother Elizabeth M. Fontaine. Elizabeth was born on March 28, 1907 and died on January 5, 2001 at the age of 93 years. She is survived by her children, Dora (Joe H.) Guimond, Mildred (Henry) Courchene, Evelyn (Alex) Laforte, Frances Anaquod, Margaret Courchene, Madeline Courchene and Harold (Brenda) Fontaine; sisters-in-law, Josephine Courchene and Christina Fontaine. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph M. Fontaine; sons, Henry and Louis Fontaine; daughters, Lucie Daniels and Lillian Fontaine; sons-in-law, Jerry Anaquod and Allan Courchene and numerous Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 64 Grandchildren, 184 Great-grandchildren, 117 Great-Great-grandchildren, and five Great-Great-Great-grandchildren (6th Generation). Mom will be remembered as a very warm and caring Person who always had her door open to anyone. Her kindness and words of wisdom is a legacy she leaves behind for her family. Wake Services will be held at the Fort Alexander Roman Catholic Church beginning January 6, 2001. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 9 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Alexander R.C. Church with viewing to be held at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Darren S. Courchene, Steven J. Courchene, Luke Courchene, Barry C. Anaquod, Henry J. Guimond, Verne Laforte. Honorary Pallbearers are her Grandsons, Ronald Fontaine, Vincent B. Fontaine, Frank H. Fontaine and Joseph G. Daniels.
