LILIAN FRANCES ROBERTS (nee GOMME) On Wednesday, January 10, 2001 at Selkirk and District General Hospital, Lilian Frances Roberts passed away surrounded by her family. Lilian was predeceased by her loving husband Harry (Jim). She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Aubrey (Betty) Roberts; daughter Eileen (Don) Everson and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great-grandson. Lilian was born on May 6, 1910 and was raised on a farm called Cold Harbour in Buckinghamshire, England. She came to Canada in 1950 and is the last surviving member of a family of ten. Lilian dedicated her life to her family and faith. Lilian was very talented and this was seen in her knitting, poetry and crafts. She also enjoyed letter writing and cooking for her family. Lilian will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13 at 2:00 p.m. at the Selkirk United Church with Rev. Barb Janes officiating. Interment to follow at the St. Clements Cemetery. A viewing will be held one half hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire they can make donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 0S6. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at the Tudor House Personal Care Home for the care Lilian received and also Dr. Demsas and the staff at the Selkirk and District General Hospital for their care and comfort.
