HELEN JANE TEMPLEMAN (nee MATHERS) Helen passed away peacefully and quietly on January 6, 2001, at St. Boniface Hospital. She is survived by Les, her loving and devoted husband of 46 years and nieces Rosemary (John) Littlewood of Nanaimo, BC, and Jane (Stirling) Mathers of Ottawa, ON, and their children Susan and Michael. She was predeceased by her parents, Adella and Jack Mathers and her brother Earle. Helen was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She entered University, then Business College. She started her career at Dominion Malt Co. and remained a loyal and efficient individual throughout her working career. Helen and Les lived at 126 Sunnyside in Woodhaven, St. James for 46 years and only recently had moved to their lovely apartment in Kiwanis Courts on Ness Avenue. Throughout the years, Helen enjoyed her curling, her bridge, and her golf as a long-time member of Breezy Bend Country Club. Helen loved to travel and found her greatest pleasure in the many trips she and Les took around the world. Helen had many wonderful friends and they will all truly miss her gracious and ever cheerful nature and remarkable positive attitude. Her most endearing quality was her non-judgmental character, in her friendships and in her outlook on life. Les wishes to thank all friends for their expressions of love and kindness at this time and expresses his gratitude for the dedicated and compassionate care given to Helen by all of her caregivers in Palliative Care at the St. Boniface Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Reception to follow. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation at 301 - 352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. Sleep tight, Princess. Till we meet again.
