VERA BEATRICE REMPEL (nee CHURCHILL) April 25, 1905 - January 8, 2001 Peacefully on January 8, 2001 Vera Rempel went to be with her Lord and Saviour with her family by her side at the Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach. She leaves to cherish her love and memory her daughter-in-law Frances and sons Bruce (Betty) and Gilbert (Ann), 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and nine great great-grandchildren, her brother Leslie Churchill and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jack (John) in 1976, her son Elmer in 1988, two grandchildren in infancy and her two sisters. The funeral service for Vera will be held Saturday, January 13, at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach at 1:00 p.m. Viewing at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Reception will be held in the Birchwood Reception Centre. Interment to follow at Badger Cemetery. Pallbearers are Vance Rempel, Ted Ewonchuk, Richard Kolesar, Blair Dodge, Bob Ewonchuk, and Bryan Ewonchuk. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Rest Haven for their excellent loving care.
