Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER STASIUK 1919 - 2001 Peacefully, on Sunday, January 7, 2001, Peter passed away with his loving family by his side at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, MB. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Kay; son Richard (Gail) daughters, Sandra (Gordon) Zaluski, Carol (Jim) Bartman, Audrey (Joe) Zaik; daughter-in-law Colleen Hicks; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Uka and Ilaska; brothers, Bill, Nick and Joe; sisters, Mary, Margaret and Lena. Peter was born June 5, 1919 in Aberdeen, SK. He worked in the lumber and mining industry. He married Kay in 1941, settling in Fraserwood to farm and raise their family. Peter enjoyed farming, hunting, and most of all, the company of his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli, MB, with Rev. Fr. Mark Gnutel officiating. Interment to follow in the Fraserwood Community Cemetery. Viewing to be held one-half hour prior to service. His pallbearers will be Michael Bartman, Jeff Stasiuk, Cory Stasiuk, Brad Genik, Walter Walashek, Adam Senga, Barrett Zaik, and Clayton Zaik. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Peters name to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli, in care of arrangements.
